Membership
Membership and registration
All individuals climbing or supervising children at The Boulder Bunker must be registered members. This includes adults, children, and one-off visitors.
Registration process
Online registration (recommended)
- Visit our online portal to complete your registration and waiver form in advance.
- Benefits: Save time on your first visit and avoid queues during busy periods.
- You can start climbing immediately upon arrival.
On-site waiver
- Fill in registration/waiver forms upon arrival at the centre.
- Please allow extra time for this process, especially during peak hours.
Types of waivers
- Adult Waiver — For climbers aged 18 and over.Adult Waiver Form
- Junior/Family Waiver — For climbers under 18 years old and those attending parties or instructed sessions.The Family and Under 18 Waiver Formmust be completed by the parent or guardian.
Age rules
Age-specific rules
Children under 14
- Must be accompanied by a registered adult at all times.
- One adult can supervise up to 2 children for safety reasons.
Young people aged 14-17
May be signed off as unsupervised climbers under certain conditions:
- Mutual consent of The Boulder Bunker Management and a parent/guardian is required.
- A parent/guardian must accompany the young person on their first visit to complete the registration.
- To climb unsupervised, a ‘junior sign off’ assessment is mandatory:
- Cost: £20 (includes entry fee)
- Must be booked in advance
- Book via phone or email
Until signed off, they must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Teachers and carers
If registering to supervise a young person:
- Must provide documentation proving guardianship or professional capacity.
Safety
Safety and well-being
- Our rules are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all climbers.
- Staff reserve the right to refuse entry or ask individuals to leave if rules are not followed.
