Little Crushers

THIS ISN'T ABOUT WHO CLIMBS HIGHEST.

At 4, 5 and 6 years old, climbing shouldn't be about grades or getting to the top. Little Crushers uses climbing as a way to explore movement, solve problems, build confidence and have fun.

  • One child's big achievement might be completing a tricky climbing challenge.
  • Another child's might be getting onto the wall independently for the first time.
  • Both matter.

6 WEEKS.
6 ADVENTURES.

Every week brings something new.

  • Week 1 — Explore: Meet the wall, discover The Bunker and become a Bunker Explorer. Children learn how the climbing space works, start moving on the wall and build confidence in their new environment.
  • Week 2 — Balance: Crocodiles. Statues. Sticky feet. Games and challenges get Little Crushers experimenting with balance, body position and controlled movement.
  • Week 3 — Move: Hands. Feet. Animals. And the legendary Quiet Feet challenge. Children discover different ways of moving and begin placing their hands and feet more deliberately.
  • Week 4 — Think: Time to become a Climbing Detective. Children make plans, avoid lava holds, solve climbing puzzles and discover that there isn't always just one way to complete a challenge.
  • Week 5 — Together: Welcome to the Climbing Crew. Games introduce communication, taking turns, helping, encouraging and solving challenges together.
  • Week 6 — Adventure: The Big Bunker Adventure. Children bring everything they've discovered together through a series of challenges before choosing a personal adventure of their own.
  • Ages 4–6: created especially for younger climbers — no experience needed.
  • Block booking: £60 covers the complete six-week programme. PAYG sessions are not available.
  • Parent/carer: must remain on site throughout each session.

MORE THAN JUST CLIMBING.

Little Crushers has been designed around the way young children actually learn — by moving, playing, experimenting and discovering things for themselves.

  • Confidence: Trying new things in a supportive environment.
  • Balance: Understanding how their body moves and learning to control it.
  • Coordination: Using hands and feet together with increasingly deliberate movement.
  • Problem-solving: Looking at challenges, making decisions and trying different solutions.
  • Teamwork: Listening, taking turns, encouraging and helping others.
  • Independence: Making choices and discovering what they're capable of.

JUST SIX LITTLE CRUSHERS.

We’ve deliberately limited each group to a maximum of six children.

Small groups give our coach time to get to know every child and adapt challenges to their confidence and ability.

Everyone stays involved — no waiting around for a turn.

Maximum 6 children per group.

THEIR ADVENTURE. THEIR PASSPORT.

Every Little Crusher gets their own Adventure Passport.

Each week they collect achievements: Explore, Balance, Move, Think, Together, Adventure.

Week 6 ends with their Adventure 1 completion certificate — and they’ll discover what adventure comes next.

WHAT COMES NEXT

The journey continues with Adventure 2: Climb, introducing more climbing-specific movement and skills.

Where appropriate, we’ll help families understand when their child is ready to progress towards Kids Club.

A FEW THINGS FOR GROWN-UPS.

  • Little Crushers is for children aged 4–6. No previous climbing experience is required.
  • A parent or carer must remain on site throughout the session.
  • Parents don't normally climb with their child — Little Crushers is coach-led.
  • We love encouragement, but please allow the coach to lead. Giving children space to make decisions and solve problems is an important part of the programme.
  • Comfortable clothes suitable for climbing and movement should be worn.

Common Questions

Does my child need to have climbed before?

No. Little Crushers has been created as an introduction to climbing and movement. Complete beginners are very welcome.

Is Little Crushers a climbing lesson?

It's a little different from a traditional climbing lesson. Young children learn brilliantly through play, so we use climbing games, adventures and challenges to develop movement, balance, coordination, problem-solving and confidence while gradually introducing climbing skills.

Can I book individual weeks?

No. Little Crushers is a six-week programme and places are booked for the complete block. The full six-week adventure costs £60.

What happens if my child misses a week?

We don't offer refunds, replacement sessions or separate catch-up sessions for missed weeks. However, the skills overlap throughout Little Crushers and, where practical, the coach will incorporate important elements they missed into following sessions. Missing a week does not prevent a child from completing Adventure 1.

Do parents need to stay?

Yes. A parent or carer must remain on site throughout the session.

Do I climb with my child?

Generally, no. Little Crushers is coach-led. The coach will let parents know if help is required for a particular activity.

What should they wear?

Comfortable clothes that allow plenty of movement are ideal. Avoid restrictive clothing or anything that could catch while climbing.

How many children are in the group?

A maximum of six.

What if my child is nervous?

That's absolutely fine. Children are never forced to climb higher or attempt something they're uncomfortable with. Building confidence is part of the programme.

Will they have to climb to the top?

No. A lot of Little Crushers involves low-level climbing, traversing, movement games and challenges. Getting to the top isn't the objective.

What happens after Adventure 1?

The Little Crushers journey continues with Adventure 2: Climb, which introduces more climbing-specific movement and skills. Where appropriate, we'll also help families understand when their child is ready to progress towards Kids Club.
