The drill 83 involves a series of steps aimed at making you conscious of how you place your feet in relation to your hands. Instructions
Start Position : Begin at the starting hold of the route. Hand Move Preparation : Before you move your hand to the next hold, prepare to move your foot. Foot Match : Match your foot to the hold that your hand is currently on. Weight Shift : Utilize the new foot position to shift your weight and prepare for the next hand move. Next Hold : Move your hand to the next hold. Foot Follow : As you advance, continue the pattern: before moving each hand, match your foot to that hold. Route Completion : Complete the route while maintaining this hand-foot matching pattern.
